The LPGA is heading into the final stretch of the season, and with it comes a fierce battle for the top spot.

In the Rolex Women’s Professional Golf Association (LGPA) Rankings, released on Tuesday morning, South Korea’s Jin Young Ko remained at No. 3 behind Lilia Boo (USA) and Yin Lun (CHN), while Ascendant LPGA winner Hyo Joo Kim moved back up to No. 6.

With an average score of 7.60, Ko trails Lilia Boo (8.11) and Yin Luning (7.86). The gap to Lilia Bu is narrower than the gap to fourth-place Nelly Koda (7.07). If she can pull off an end-of-season victory, she’ll be well within striking distance of the top spot.

Kim won the Ascendant LPGA at Old American Golf Club over the past eight days, finishing four shots clear of the chasing pack at 13-under-par to claim her first LPGA Tour victory. The victory also boosted her ranking points average to 6.25, reclaiming the No. 6 spot she had lost the previous week.

But there was another hero. It was Sung Yoo-jin. Sung finished tied for third at the Hite Jinro Championships that same week, adding 6.65 ranking points and boosting her average to 1.43.

This is a new career-high ranking for Sung, who jumped from 93-4 to 78 the previous week. Her previous best ranking was 84th, which she achieved after finishing tied for 12th at the EverCollagen Thesiena Queen’s Crown 2023 in July.

Elsewhere in the top 100, Hite Jinro winners Lee Ye-won (+6, 31st), Bang Shin-sil (+5, 79th) and Hwang Yoo-min (+4, 60th) improved their rankings 스포츠토토.
