NHK Card wins its eighth straight game to complete a sweep of the third round of the Professional Billiards PBA Team League.
The NHL Card swept the Crown HaeTae 4-0 in straight sets on the final day of the third round of the Welcome Savings Bank PBA Team League 2023-2024 at the Kintex PBA Stadium in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do, on the afternoon of April 22.
The eight-game winning streak is the longest in PBA Team League history.
The Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the third round was Kim Bomi, who led the team with 12 wins and 3 losses and took home a cash prize of KRW 1 million. 굿모닝토토
The NHCards won the men’s doubles 11-7 in the first set, then clinched the women’s doubles 9-1 in the second set with Kim scoring eight points on her own.
In the third-set men’s singles ace matchup, Cho Jae-ho set the tone with a close 15-14 win over Oh Tae-joon, and in the fourth-set mixed doubles, Oh Sung-wook and Kim Bomi defeated Oh Tae-joon and Baek Min-ju 9-7.
“I’m happy to have an undefeated record, and it feels good to have a team win together,” said NHCard captain Cho Jae-ho, while Kim Min-ah credited the team atmosphere for the win, saying, “I never felt like I wasn’t in good shape.”
The PBA will take a month-long break after the third round of the Team League.
It will then resume its fifth tour of the season, the Huon’s PBA-LPBA Championship, on March 18.
