Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo (Alnasr) has opened his luxury hotel to victims of the earthquake in Morocco.

“Ronaldo’s Hotel Pestana CR7 Marrakech, located on the outskirts of Marrakech, Morocco, is serving as a shelter after the earthquake in Morocco,” Spain’s Marca reported on Tuesday (local time).

Ronaldo, who owns several hotels in Europe and the Arab world, has opened a four-star luxury hotel with an outdoor pool, fitness center, restaurant, and 174 rooms, the media outlet said.

“After the recent earthquakes, those affected have moved to buildings where they can find shelter, including Ronaldo’s hotel,” Marca said, adding that “the luxury nature of the hotel aside, Moroccans have come together to recover.”

“We had to sleep on the road all night, but we were able to find Ronaldo’s hotel outside of Marrakech,” Spanish national Irene Ceixas told the media, adding, “They told us at 7 a.m. that we could stay.”

According to the BBC, players from the Moroccan national soccer team, which reached the quarterfinals of last year’s World Cup in Qatar, also donated blood to help victims of the quake.

Lee’s (Paris Saint-Germain) teammate and Moroccan national team defender Achraf Hakimi took to social media to call for help, saying that “donating blood is a way to save as many lives as possible” and that “we need the help of many people.” 먹튀검증
